What is the Center for Biblical Studies?

The Center for Biblical Studies (CBS), founded in 1974 as the Lay Institute at Dallas Seminary, provides biblical and theological education for the personal faith enrichment of adults (17 years and older) in the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) community. CBS offers courses in Bible, theology, spiritual life, and ministry skills. DTS students and graduates teach the courses under the supervision of the Seminary’s faculty. Most courses meet once per week on a Monday or Tuesday evening during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Classes meet in the Campbell Academic Center on the DTS campus near downtown Dallas (3909 Swiss Ave.).
