Tuition Management Systems (TMS)Monthly Payment Plan

(Note: If you have been delinquent on a previous TMS account, please contact the DTS Bursar's Office to see if you are eligible for TMS.)

Dallas Seminary wants to help students budget for the cost of their education, limit borrowing, and conserve savings by offering them an interest-free monthly payment option. This special option allows students at all campuses to spread educational expenses over the academic year in equal, interest-free monthly payments. This plan can be used for the cost of tuition and fees, books purchased through the DTS Bookcenter, and meal plans charged on your DTS student account.

Plans Available

A payment plan may be taken out for one semester (five month plan–available Fall/Spring), or the entire academic year (10 month plan–available Fall only). The maximum amount of TMS you can apply for is $12,000 (five month plan–$6,000 limit each term /10 month plan–any combination for the two terms up to $12,000). If your DTS semester bill exceeds this amount, the remaining balance must be paid to DTS by the payment deadline for each semester.

  • 5 month plan Example: If your Fall bill is $5,000, you could enroll in a TMS payment plan for $5,000 for the Fall semester (Term 1). Your monthly payments would be $1,000. If you needed TMS for the Spring semester (Term 2), you would need to enroll in another payment plan.
  • 10 month plan Example: If your Fall bill is $6,300 and you approximate your Spring bill to be $5700, you can enroll in a 10 month plan for $12,000 with $6300 for your Fall (Term 1) and $5700 for the Spring semester (Term 2). Note: If you do a 5 month plan with this example, you would have to pay DTS the $300 for the Fall because the maximum budget limit for the semester on a 5 month plan is $6,000.
  • Winter/Summer School: No separate plans are available for the Winter/Summer semesters. You will want to include the approximate costs in the five month or the 10 month plan (Winter include in the Fall term and Summer include in the Spring term). Please be aware that if you have TMS, you will be financially cleared for these semesters if there is enough budgeted with TMS. You are responsible to drop the class (es) for these semesters. Do not assume that you will be automatically dropped for the semester because you didn’t pay. You did pay if your budget with TMS was enough to cover your next semester bill.
  • Note: The amount of your payment plan is credited to your DTS student account as a payment. If you choose the 10 month plan, the amount you request for the Fall/Winter will appear on your account at the time of the Fall semester. The amount you request for Spring/Summer will appear on your account at the time of the Spring semester. Be sure not to reduce your plan by the amount you want for Winter or Summer!
  • Note about Books: Book purchases are for those books purchased only at the DTS Bookcenter. Please contact the DTS Bursar to have a portion of your TMS budget transferred from your student account to a DTS bookstore account for you. Once the amount is transferred, then you would be able to purchase books at the DTS Bookcenter.
  • Note about Meal Plans: Meal plans are for those that are only chosen online during the registration process.
  • Adjustments: You can contact TMS or the Bursar’s Office to make any adjustments to your budget. Budget adjustments can be made to increase or decrease the initial budget amount. The adjustment will be made to your TMS account as well as your, DTS account. Adjustments to payment plans that use the automatic draft payment option must be made prior to the 15th of the month to be effective the following month.

GPA

Students must have a 2.0 or higher GPA to be eligible for TMS.

DTS does not receive any of the convenience fee.
